A Day With Jessica

@bontraveler

My name is Jessica Wright, and I run the travel blog Bon Traveler. I spend most of the year on the road, but call San Francisco home. As an espresso enthusiast, I love spending time in cafes, finding new ones and visiting old favorites.

  My ideal day in San Francisco always starts at Wrecking Ball coffee shop. There’s something about this space, the people, and the coffee. Ever so friendly, and tasty cappuccinos is always comforting and I can’t help but go every time I am home.

  After caffeinating, I love heading to places that inspire me. I head straight to the San Francisco Conservatory of Flowers. This place is stunning to walk around in, and it’s my favorite place to go to for a quick hour or so. The Golden Gate Park has so many places to visit, I often head to the De Young or Academy of Sciences too when I’m need of inspiration.

 For lunch, as a Frenchie, I can’t help but go to Bon Marche for a bite at the bar. I feel like I am back in Paris, with yummy plates that remind me of France. I love to sit at the bar that has a yellow overhang, and hangout for an hour or two.

  One afternoon this past year, I took a helicopter rider over San Francisco. I had never seen the city from this view, and I have to say it was breath taking. I would absolutely recommend seeing the city from above, it’s amazing what a different perspective it has.

  Dinner is always a tough choice as my restaurant list is always growing. When I think of my favorite place to go to, it’s always Foreign Cinema. Their fried chicken and fresh drinks are an absolute win, no matter what day it is. I always request a table in the courtyard so I can see the foreign film that is projected against the wall!

  At the end of the day, a good view is always in order. Twin Peaks has an incredible view over the city, where you can see from Ocean Beach to the Golden Gate, all the way to the Bay Bridge and more. The twinkling lights of San Francisco remind me why this city will always be home.
